Minecraft seeds are randomly generated, so it's a given that some will be worse than others. The worst seeds range from playable but extremely challenging to completely broken.
A few of these reminded me of Minecraft survival challenges, while others were just downright cruel when generating structures. For those who want a new challenge or just want to see an unbelievable world Spawn, check out the list to see the worst Minecraft seeds I could find.
10 Worst Minecraft 1.20 Seeds List
These seeds will have you waking up on the wrong side of the bed in your next world.
Distant Stronghold Woes
Seed: 188488350380335515
Version: Java
If you want to go to the End, you'll need a Stronghold with an End Portal on hand. Unfortunately for Java players, the closest Stronghold in this seed is 2,200 blocks away. What's even worse is that the end portal within it only contains 2 Eyes of Ender. This means you'll need to craft 10 Eyes of Ender to complete the portal in addition to the eyes you would need to help find the Stronghold.

Where are the Cherries?
Seed: 4291600867002109548
Version: Bedrock and Java
If you're like me, the Cherry Grove became your favorite as soon as version 1.20 was released. Its beautiful pink trees, abundant bees, and unique petals made it an instant hit in many players' hearts. That makes this seed, which has only a few tiny Cherry Groves thousands of blocks away, even more disappointing.

Lifeless
Seed: 5661156250713507327
Version: Bedrock
Great Minecraft worlds have close structures with plenty of resources and unique world generation. Bad Minecraft worlds, like this one, have nothing of the sort. All of the structures in this seed are at least 300 blocks from spawn with the nearest village being over 1,500 blocks away. There isn't anything unique about the generation near spawn that makes this lack of structures worth it.

Deadly Drop
Seed: -5654532838285755959
Version: Java and Bedrock
This seed is a nightmare for absent-minded players. It begins on the edge of a tall Windswept Savanna overlooking an ocean and a Mangrove Swamp. If you're not careful, you'll fall from the top of the cliff to the ground at the bottom. It's a seed that will knock Hardcore players out of the world as quickly as they hopped in.

Frozen Alive
Seed: 64747579341785553
Version: Java and Bedrock
Unsuspecting players will drown in the Powdered Snow scatted around Spawn in this world. As soon as I entered this world, I found myself stuck in the snow banks with no way out. Walking forward only dropped me deeper into the snow. Players who have not dealt with Powdered Snow will likely meet their end before making it out.

Only in Legends
Seed: 2189899828197779151
Version: Bedrock
Ancient Cities are a great way to gather experience and relics from their past. They have been a much-enjoyed structure since their introduction to Minecraft. Unfortunately for Bedrock players, the closest Ancient City is over 2,000 blocks away! This makes them seem more like a figment of your imagination than an actual structure to explore.

No Mansions
Seed: -8739489262604261285
Version: Java
Those hoping to explore a Woodland Mansion shouldn't get their hopes up on this seed. The closest Mansion is over 3,600 blocks away, with the next closest more than twice that distance. That means that all of the glorious Mansion loot is unobtainable to you. If you ever hope to find one, you'll have to study up on Nether Highways.

Desolate Island
Seed: -4964855988236110183
Version: Bedrock
This island has no crops, trees, or any other useful resources. It's okay if you want to try out hardcore island survival, but it's one you would delete upon creation for any basic Minecraft survival world. The distance between the island and the nearby landmasses means that you'll not have trees for a long time. You might be able to get some wood from a nearby shipwreck, but you'll have to fend off both drowning and the drowned with no tools.

Snifferless
Seed: 8410006902679939364
Version: Java and Bedrock
This seed has many oceans, but most of them are too cold for Sniffer eggs to survive! Sniffer eggs have to be excavated from Warm Ocean Ruins before being hatched by the player. This makes them one of the hardest passive mobs to obtain. If you want them in this world, you'll have to put in more work than it's truly worth.

Frozen Wasteland
Seed: 3063656003861841135
Version: Java
A frozen wasteland is the only thing that awaits you in this seed. The only living things you'll find here are polar bears—the rest left the area in search of greener pastures. If you want to explore structures, you're limited to what you find underwater. However, the ice covering the water makes that task extremely dangerous. If you could enchant your helmet you would be fine, but unfortunately, there are no cows in this part of the world.
