There have been so many new Legends added to the game since launch when it comes to Apex Legends. There is an original core roster when it comes down to which Legends have been around since the beginning.
Some might think of the core roster just being the six Legends you can play before you unlock anyone. Others might think of Legends that have been there since Season 1. Neither of these answers, however, is entirely true. Before Season 1 even went live, there was the Preseason. This included eight of the Legends we know and love.
Original Roster
In all, there are eight original Legends: six standard and two locked.
Bloodhound
Bloodhound is a Recon Legend with tracking abilities. They can scan enemies (tactical), follow tracks left behind which are invisible to other Legends (passive), and go full beast mode with increased speed and highlighted enemies (ultimate).
Gibraltar
Makoa Gibraltar is a Defensive Legend and definitely plays that up. He can use a dome shield to protect himself and his team (tactical), a gun shield to protect himself from direct fire (passive), and rain down missiles from the sky (ultimate).
Lifeline
Ajay Che, aka Lifeline, is the only remaining Support Legend in the original lineup. She can heal herself and her allies (tactical), revive players without staying by them (passive), and call in her own Care Packages (ultimate).
Pathfinder
Formerly a Support Legend, but now a Recon Legend, Pathfinder is all about getting from one place to another. His grappling hook moves him to out-of-reach locations (tactical), and his zipline can move the whole team with him (ultimate). Scanning Survey Beacons also charges his ultimate (passive).
Wraith
Renee Hope Blasey, aka Wraith, is an Offensive Legend and the most played Legend in the game. She can jump into the void to avoid damage (tactical), get warnings when someone is aiming at her (passive), and place portals that allow players to travel quickly from one location to another (ultimate).
Bangalore
Anita Williams, aka Bangalore, is an Offensive Legend. Similar to Gibraltar, she can call in missiles from the sky (ultimate), but she can also throw smoke bombs (tactical) and run at double speed when taking fire (passive).
Caustic
Alexander Nox, aka Caustic, is a locked Defensive Legend. He can place traps filled with poisonous gas (tactical) or toss a gas bomb on a given area (ultimate). You also get an outline of enemies you see in your gas (passive).
Mirage
Elliott Rodger Witt, aka Mirage, is a locked offensive Legend. He can create decoys of himself one at a time (tactical) or a bunch at once (ultimate). He also turns invisible when reviving someone (passive).
Octane was in Season 1, but not the Preseason; therefore, he is not an original Legend.
