Call of Duty: Vanguard all Editions explained

Call of Duty: Vanguard offers players several different editions to purchase from. Each edition is unique, and you have to decide which is the best one for you. We have listed all editions of Vanguard available for purchase and what they offer to help you pick the right one.

Digital Editions for Call of Duty: Vanguard

The digital version of the game is available on all platforms i.e. PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The digital edition of Vanguard further features three variants:

• Digital Standard Edition ($59.99) - PC | PS4 | Xbox One.
• Digital Cross-Gen Bundle ($69.99) - PS5 & PS4 | Xbox One & Series X|S.
• Digital Ultimate Edition ($99.99) - PC | PS5 & PS4 | Xbox One & Series X|S.

The Standard Edition can be purchased for any platform and works on that specific platform. You can also play the Standard Edition on 'next-gen consoles' (PS5 and Series X|S), but only via backward compatibility. This means that you will not get maximum framerates and ultimate graphics on the new consoles.

If you want Vanguard to play at its full potential on next-gen consoles, purchase the Cross-Gen Bundle. With this version, you can play on PS4 and PS5 or Xbox One and Series X|S, with maximum performance. If you have already purchased the Standard Edition, you can upgrade to the Cross-Gen Bundle anytime.

Remember, the Cross-Gen Bundle doesn't mean you can play cross-platform. You can either play on PlayStation or Xbox consoles. Rewards included with this bundle are:

• Five hours of 2x weapon XP
• Frontline Weapons Pack - two weapon blueprints

Call of Duty: Vanguard Ultimate Edition is available on all platforms and features several rewards and maximum compatibility. This includes the Cross-Gen Bundle for the game. The rewards are as follows:

• Task Force One Pack (shown in the image above)
• Frontline Weapons Pack
• Battle Pass Bundle - Vanguard Season 1 Battle Pass with 20 Tier Skip
• Five hours of 2x XP and five hours of 2x weapon XP

Physical Editions for Call of Duty: Vanguard - Disc-based

Physical editions are only available for consoles i.e. PlayStation and Xbox, not for PC.

• Standard Edition for PS4 and Xbox One ($59.99)
  • PlayStation version - It can be upgraded to PS5 through the PlayStation Store. The disc must be inserted in PS5 while upgrading. Hence, players cannot upgrade it to the diskless version of the PS5.
  • Xbox version - Players cannot upgrade it to Xbox Series X|S.
• Standard Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S ($69.99)
  • PlayStation version - It works on a PS5 console with a disc drive. It will not work on PS4.
  • Xbox version - This includes both the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions of the game on disc.

We recommend buying the "Digital Standard Edition" as it gives the best value and can be easily upgraded when required. If on next-gen consoles, go for the "Cross-Gen Bundle."
