To salvage an item in Rocket League Sideswipe, go to your garage. Click on the item you wish to salvage and then click the white symbol in that item's box. This will bring up the salvage menu where you can see how much SP you will get. This number ranges depending on the item and its rarity.

Keep in mind that once you salvage an item, it is gone. Also, some items cannot be salvaged. Those that are gotten from the Rocket Pass cannot be traded for SP. Once you have clicked on an item, you can also choose not to salvage it if the SP amount isn't high enough.

Salvaging unwanted items is a great way to generate SP so you purchase cosmetics you do want. It is also a good way to declutter your inventory and find your awesome cosmetic items faster!
