What is the Divine Ingenuity event in Genshin Impact?

Genshin Impact has introduced a countless number of entertaining events for players to participate in, and that roster continues to steadily grow as time goes on. Some events, like Eight Locales Over Mountains and Seas, involve exploring the land of Teyvat. Others, such as Flameplume Starflowers, are fun mini-games. One upcoming event in particular even allows you to create your own Domain—the Divine Ingenuity event.

Divine Ingenuity Mechanics

Divine Ingenuity is an upcoming event set to appear alongside the 2.5 Update. The main focus of this interesting event is Domain Creation—creating custom Domains that can then be challenged by you and your friends. You'll have a limited amount of time to reach the finish line, similar to Time-Trials, and will need to collect coins as you make your way through the Domain. Each Domain will offer unique layouts and challenges, all custom designed by other players of Genshin Impact.

Domain Creation and racing

What sets this limited-time event apart from its predecessors is the Domain Creation feature—you'll be able to design your very own Domains. Various blocks, ramps, and other structures can be placed on a grid, similar to placing furnishings in the Serenitea Pot, to create custom-made challenges. You'll even be able to add in things like Wind Currents and Anemo Rings, giving your Domains a bit of flair.

There's a fairly wide selection of objects and mechanisms to choose from, meaning you can let your creative side run wild. And, once you've decided that your Domain is finished and ready to go, other players can then attempt to complete your creation. You'll be able to take on other player's Domains during this event, as well, racing against the clock to collect coins and reach the finish line. Domains can be challenged more than once, meaning you'll have multiple chances to go for the gold.

Event Rewards

While being able to let your inner interior designer run wild is arguably this event's best reward, there are still a few spoils awaiting those who emerge from the challenges victorious. You'll be able to get your hands on some Primogems and Mora, among other helpful items. Most of the rewards available appear to be level-up materials for your characters' talents, artifacts, and weapons, meaning you'll want to stock up on these helpful items while you can.

Divine Ingenuity looks like a breath of fresh air compared to other events and could lead to similar events in the future. It arrives with Genshin Impact 2.5 and will only be around for a short time, so keep an eye on your calendar to make sure you don't miss out on this event!
