Best moves for Hisuian Decidueye in Pokémon Legends: Arceus

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, moves determine your Pokémon’s potential in battle. Pokémon will naturally learn more powerful moves as it levels up, but you can also visit Zisu in Jubilife Village to have it learn others for a price. This is true for every Pokémon in the game, including Hisuian Decidueye—one of the local starters.

Best moves for Hisuian Decidueye

Decidueye is a Pokémon with good stats all around. However, its Attack is notably higher. This means that it’s better off keeping Physical attacks over Special attacks. Below are the best moves it can learn:

• Leaf Blade (learned at level 34)
• Triple Arrows (learned at level 34)
• Brave Bird (learned at level 40)
• Psycho Cut (learned from the Move Tutor)

Moves that are used by Pokémon of the same type have their base damage increased by 50 percent. We call this same-type attack bonus (STAB). Leaf Blade and Triple Arrows are going to be your Hisuian Decidueye’s STAB moves.

Meanwhile, Psycho Cut is there to let your Hisuian Decidueye hit Poison types, like Toxicroak, which it’s weak to. Plus, it’s a move that will sometimes land a critical hit. Brave Bird is just an all-around powerful move with wide coverage. As a Flying-type attack, it’s super effective against Grass, Bug, and Fighting Pokémon.
