There are many challenging boss fights in Elden Ring. With over 80 bosses in the game, even seasoned players are bound to be stumped by a few. The Valiant Gargoyle fight can catch players off guard because there are actually two bosses that will attack at the same time.
Best strategies for the Valiant Gargoyle boss fight
Coming into this boss fight, players should know that they will be attacked by two bosses, Valiant Gargoyle and Valiant Gargoyle (Twinblade). The fight will start with only Valiant Gargoyle present, and then Valiant Gargoyle (Twinblade) will join after a few seconds.
The best strategy for this boss fight is to come into the arena with a strong Spirit Summon (the Mimic Tear, Redmane Knight Ogha, and Black Knife Tiche Spirit Ashes are all great choices). This is vital, as a strong Summon can distract one of the bosses while the player focuses on the other. Another tactic would be to gang up on one of the bosses alongside the Spirit Summon in order to take it out and then move on to the second one together.

The first Gargoyle will use a massive axe, and when it gets to half health, the second Gargoyle (wielding a Twinblade) will spawn in. Both of these bosses deal massive melee damage, so players should be sure to keep their distance and avoid attacks at all costs. The Gargoyles will also have a ranged poison attack that you should avoid. Since the first Gargoyle will be at low health by the time the second one comes into play, it is a good idea to finish that one off before moving on to the Twinblade. This will prevent players from being overwhelmed.
What does the Valiant Gargoyle drop when defeated?
Along with 80,000 Runes, the Valiant Gargoyle bosses will drop their weapons upon death. These weapons are pretty useful and come with some nice Skills that players can use when they are equipped.
