How to play the trial version of Monster Hunter Rise

There's a catch...

Although Monster Hunter Rise has been available for Switch users since March 26, 2021, Nintendo has, as of today, attempted to drive more traffic to it by rustling up a trial version. From today until March 17 at 11:59pm PT, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can download the trial and play through the main game without any restrictions.

To download the Monster Hunter Rise trial, you will need to navigate to the game itself on the Nintendo eShop. The only drawback of downloading the game, however, is that it will only be available for Nintendo Switch Online members. Any progress made during the trial period will, of course, be carried over should you wish to purchase the full game after March 17.
