Outside of easier difficulties, nearly every ghost in Phasmophobia can wander from room to room. However, one ghost in particular has the ability to teleport, but it won't be obvious unless players are looking for it.
Some ghosts merely give the impression of teleporting without actually doing it. In this guide, I'll explain how teleportation works in Phasmophobia and which ghost can use it.
Teleporting Ghosts in Phasmophobia
Every ghost in Phasmophobia is different, with unique abilities they can use to hunt down players. However, the Wraith is the only ghost that has the ability to teleport, which can appear similar to other ghosts' wandering behaviors.
Wraith
Here are some of the things you should be looking out for with the Wraith and its teleportation ability:
- When it isn't hunting, the Wraith can teleport to a random player’s location. This teleportation triggers an EMF Level 2 reading, and on rare occasions, it may result in an EMF Level 5 reading.
- On Nightmare difficulty, you can bait the Wraith into revealing its location with an EMF reader. After that, the hunt begins, during which time you can secure a win.
Can other ghosts teleport in Phasmophobia?
Most ghosts in Phasmophobia have the ability to travel throughout their haunt location. This wandering can sometimes be mistaken for teleporting, especially when the ghost moves swiftly between nearby rooms.
In particular, the behavior of The Twins can give the impression of teleportation due to their ability to interact with two rooms interchangeably. However, this is not actual teleportation but a unique characteristic of The Twins.
