There's plenty to upgrade in Plague Tale: Requiem as you continue your journey with some familiar faces. There are three skill trees to fill, along with several gear upgrades for each piece of equipment. But the real question is, can you fully upgrade everything on your first playthrough of Plague Tale Requiem?
Is it possible to upgrade all equipment & skills in a single playthrough in A Plague Tale Requiem?
It is improbable to upgrade both skills and equipment on your first playthrough of Plague Tale: Requiem. However, you can potentially upgrade your skills at equipment to max, depending on how much exploration you do. But your skills you cannot. We had 8/12 skills and 10/15 gear upgrades by the end of our first playthrough.
How to upgrade your gear fully in A Plague Tale Requiem
To upgrade your upgrades fully, you need to explore and find every golden and secret chests in the game. These reward you with tools and pieces that allow you to upgrade your gear. Though to make this easier, if you upgrade the Instrument tree fully, you can eliminate the use of tools and recycle any pots or bolts. In return will give you pieces.
If you get this upgrade fast enough and play stealthily, the amount you will recycle will add up to a vast amount, and no longer needing to find tools helps immensely. We had 10 upgrades at the end of the game, and that's without checking every nook and cranny. It's very possible to upgrade all gear in a single run.

Can you upgrade all skills in a single run of A Plague Tale Requiem?
We believe you cannot fully upgrade all skills in A Plague Tale: Requiem for the first time. The three skill trees are based on Prudence (Stealth), Aggressive, and Opportunism (Alchemy).
These skills increase by how your overall playstyle. The more stealthy you will increase Prudence, while a more aggressive playstyle will increase Aggressive. At Requiems completion, we had eight out of the 12 skills upgraded.
Maybe if you are not stealthy and only focus on killing all enemies, you'll be able to upgrade Aggressive fully. Likewise for Prudence, if you stealth your way through the game. But overall, we believe you cannot upgrade everything in one playthrough.
