Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Open Beta is now live and players are trying out different weapons to find out which ones are the best. Although there are a limited number of guns available right now, they're enough to give an insight into the gunplay you can expect from MW3.
Most OP Meta weapons in the Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer (MW3)
Below I've listed the best weapons from different categories that you must give a try in the MW3.
Striker SMG - Modern Warfare 3 (MW3)
- Barrel: Striker Recon Long Barrel
- Optic: MK.23 Reflector
- Stock: Lachmann MK2 Light Stock
- Ammunition: .45 Auto High Grain
The Striker Submachine Gun performs exceptionally well at close-medium range, that's why you'll find several players using it. Using the above attachments, you can boost the weapon's range and mobility without hurting the accuracy much. I didn't feel the need to fill the fifth attachment slot, but you can put on the VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor muzzle to keep yourself hidden on the minimap while shooting.
MCW Assault Rifle - Modern Warfare 3 (MW3)
- Barrel: 16.5" MCW Cyclone Long Barrel
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Ammunition: 5.56 NATO High Grain
- Magazine: 40 Round Mag
- Rear Grip: RB Rapidstrike Grip

The attachments I've used in this MCW or ACR build significantly increase the weapon's damage range and bullet velocity while maintaining its mobility stats. The Assault Rifle performs the best among its counterparts and has an easy-to-control, straight-up recoil pattern, making it a viable choice for medium to long-range fights.
Longbow Sniper Rifle - Modern Warfare 3 (MW3)
- Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser Light
- Stock: Stockless
- Underbarrel: SL Skeletal Vertical Grip
- Rear Grip: Citadel LV Tactical Grip
Out of the two Sniper Rifles available during the MW3 Open Beta, I prefer the Longbow because it has a fast fire rate and can be customized to be the perfect quickscope class. The attachments used here are purely meant to improve the gun's mobility stats, primarily aim-down-sight (ADS) and sprint-to-fire speeds. Make sure you're hitting upper body and headshots with this gun to get one-shot kills. Furthermore, I'd suggest trying out a low-zoom optic, like the Slate Reflector, as it removes weapon sway significantly, allowing you to quickscope even better.
