Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta runs from August 30 to September 9. During this trial period, players can try the game, get a feel for the mechanics and learn the new maps, and ultimately decide if they're going to buy the full game at launch. Not all content planned for the full game launch will be available in the beta, so here's a list of all the maps and game modes coming to BO6 Beta.
All maps in Black Ops 6 Beta
Out of the 16 maps prepared for the launch of Black Ops 6, we'll get to play eight during the Beta period:
- Scud
- Rewind
- Babylon
- Skyline
- Derelict
- Stakeout
- Gala
- Pit
You can check out the overview of each of these maps and their environment in the images above. From these eight listings, five are Core 6v6 Maps while the remaining three are Strike Maps. Strike Maps have compact designs for more chaotic gameplay action and are built for 2v2 and Face Off 6v6 game modes. You can check out the gameplay on these maps from the CoD Next event stream where hundreds of creators tried out Black Ops 6 for the first time. Alternatively, you can wait until the Beta early access that begins on August 30 to check them out for yourself. An important detail mentioned by one of the developers is that they'll be bringing back some older Black Ops fan-favorite maps with seasonal updates.
All game modes in Black Ops 6 Beta
Below is a list of all game modes featured in the Black Ops 6 Beta:
- Kill Order (new mode): Protect your HVT and attack the other team's HVT. Any elimination is counted as a point, but an elimination by an HVT is given more points.
- Team Deathmatch: Eliminate opponents and the first team to hit the score limit wins.
- Domination: Capture and hold three flags, earn points, and secure the win.
- Hardpoint: Capture and hold the rotating zone, earn points, and secure the win.
- Kill Confirmed: Eliminate opponents and collect their Dog Tags to earn points. Grabbing a friendly tag will deny a potential score to the enemies.
Please note that this is not the final list and some other game modes besides these may also be showcased during the Beta. These are some of the classic modes that are presented in each year's Call of Duty Beta. Black Ops 6 developers have also mentioned some small but important changes to these Core 6v6 modes. For instance, they are replacing flags with objective stands in Domination, and for Hardpoint, numbers have been added to objective points so it becomes easier for players to learn the rotation pattern.
