During any multiplayer session, most of your troops will get damaged by the opposing teams. Instead of training new troops to replace them, it is better to heal the existing units to save a lot of resources. There are several techniques to heal your soldiers in Age of Empires IV. You can use a priest, scholar, monk, or even a religious building to regain the lost HP of your army.
Healing troops by a Priest or Scholar
To do this, follow the steps given below.
- Create a monk, priest, or a scholar through the religious buildings (Monastery) of your respective civilization. These buildings are usually available in the castle age. But certain dynasties like the Delhi sultanate have the option to construct from the dark ages itself.
- After training a religious leader, take them to armies, and he will start healing them automatically.
- If he does not aid the troops automatically, select the priest and look for the heal option under the menu, as shown in the image below.
- Now, choose the unit that you want to heal.
Healing troops using a Religious Buildings
Abbey of Kings is the only religious landmark that can heal the military units. You have to make all the troops stand near the vicinity of the building, and they will regain health slowly. They are exclusive to the English civilization in the dark age.
Remember, religious leaders will only heal human troops. Siege weapons or Navy ships cannot be healed using a priest or any religious building.
