Where to find all Nursery Rhyme Dolls in Alan Wake 2

It's all fun and games.... right?

If you didn't think Alan Wake was scary enough, they threw in some extra nursery rhyme puzzles, complete with creepy dolls, to take it up a few notches. If you're a fan of puzzles like me, you'll enjoy working through these.

To complete the nursery rhyme puzzles found around the map, you're going to need the dolls. Thankfully, the dolls for each puzzle are usually not too far off from the puzzle location. Take a look below where you can find them all.

Alan Wake 2 Nursery Rhyme Dolls puzzle guide

You'll be able to start completing the nursery rhyme puzzles after defeating Nightingale. As soon as you see the nursery puzzles, usually as chalk-drawn pictures, you'll know the dolls are somewhere close by.

Once you reach the Witchfinder's Station, you'll find a note from FBC company revealing locations of their tests, aka the nursery rhymes. There are sheets like this in other locations as well, such as Watery, and they will tell you where you can find all the testing sites in that location.

Cauldron Lake

Crow - Streamside

The first doll you'll come across is on the path leading to the Witchfinder's Station, in the Streamside area of the map, right after crossing the small bridge. You'll notice the chalk pictures on the ground beside the picnic table and find the Crow doll right on the table. To solve the puzzle, place the Crow on the sun. You'll be rewarded with the Hammer Charm.

Wolf and the Hero - Witchfinder's Station

At the Witchfinder's Station, you'll find two dolls needed for the puzzle, which are the wolf and the hero. You can find both of them on the upper floor of the house in the nursery room, one outside the baby gate and one within it. To solve its puzzle, take the dolls outside to the front of the house and place the Wolf on the tree and the Hero on the boat. Then, follow the wolf prints back into the nursery room, where you'll receive the Coffee Mug Charm.

Watery

Moose and the Deer - Watery Woods

You can find the carved wooden moose and deer dolls through the Watery woods on the way toward Coffee World. As you start down the trail after speaking to the Koskela brothers, take a slight detour to the right and follow the path down (as shown on the map). You'll find the dolls on top of the camera and sound equipment.

You can use the moose doll to complete the puzzle right here where you found the dolls, placing the moose on the tree picture. You'll receive another Coffee Mug Charm. However, to solve the deer puzzle, continue on the path toward the Radio Tower, which will be just southeast of it. Place the deer on the house picture, and you'll receive the Deer Charm.

Maiden and the Trickster - Downtown

The Maiden and the Trickster dolls are located right in downtown Watery, but you'll need the screwdriver to get into the Saimi's building, located behind the Suomi Hall. You'll have to progress to Coffee World to get the screwdriver and then backtrack here.

The Maiden doll is right on the kitchen counter inside. Then, follow the hallway, and you'll find the Trickster in one of the other side rooms, and at the end of the hall, you'll find their puzzle. Place the Maiden on the house picture and the Trickster on the jewelry picture, and you'll receive yet another Coffee Mug Charm.

Mother and the Wise Elder - Lighthouse

While also in Watery, you're going to want to make it up to the lighthouse, where you'll find two more dolls waiting. Although the puzzle is toward the cliffside, the dolls will be on the steps leading up to the door of the lighthouse. For the puzzle nearby, you can use the Wise Elder on the eye picture and then the Trickster on the waves. Then, follow the shadowy footsteps toward the boat on the shore below, where your Lighthouse charm will be ready to collect.

Monster and the Bear - Ranger Cabin

The Monster and the Bear dolls can only be collected after the flooding has resided, which is only accomplished by defeating Thorton and Mulligan. Once you can reach the Ranger Cabin, head inside, and you'll find them on a dresser in the bedroom with the roses. The puzzle is right outside behind the cabin, but you will only use the Bear doll. Place the Bear on the heart and the Maiden doll on the tree, and you'll receive the FBC charm.

Child - Trailer Park

The Child doll is another doll that you will need to collect after defeating Mulligan and Thorton since the area will initially be flooded. You'll find it toward the far end of the Trailer Park on the dock. As soon as you step onto the dock, turn to the left, and it will be on the bench.

Collecting these dolls and solving their little puzzles is another step closer to piecing together this bizarre case as Saga and collecting new charms for useful perks. Use their notes as hints on where to place the dolls and read them carefully. Usually, you can use the surrounding area for clues as well.
