If you're attempting to join a game of Among Us with others but are unable to do so because of an error, you are not alone. Below, I will teach you how to fix the "could not find the game you are looking for" error in Among Us.
How to fix the Among Us could not find game error
Among Us is a game best played with your friends or other people online. While doing so, you may try to join a private game with others. However, when you attempt to connect, you receive an error stating that the game could not be found.
The solution to this issue is simple: change your Among Us server region to align with your friends'. The games are hosted on various servers located in different regions to balance the server loads and provide players with better connections to the game.
- On the main menu, hit play
- Select online
- Click the globe icon in the bottom right corner of your screen
- Select the region of your choice!

If you are still unable to connect, please refer to the Among Us Reddit page or an outage-detecting website to determine if the issues are on the server's end. Then, your best option is to simply wait it out. If the servers are up, then I recommend you to:
- Relaunch your game platform, such as Epic Games or Steam
- Restart your device
- Try different internet connections
- If you are on a PC, check your firewall settings
- Hit the start menu key and search for Allow an app through Windows Firewall
- Look for Among Us, and check off both boxes
