The best Easter eggs in Animal Well

Animal Well has so many different Easter eggs that make the game all the more special. Whether you want to see references to other games or see some well-hidden secrets, this game has it all.

Play As The Fox From Tunic

One of the easiest Easter eggs to find is one that points to the massively successful game, Tunic. If you press and hold the jump button in the game, your character will eventually jump up and land on the ground. Continue to hold the jump button for a few more seconds, and you will turn into the main character from Tunic, a fox.

This is such a nice reference to another fantastic indie game. The only downside to this Easter egg is that you cannot do anything as the fox. In fact, if you move at all, your character will turn back into itself, meaning that you won't get anything special from the Easter egg.

Objects in the game move when you move the game's window

First discovered by X user @TerminX13, if you are playing the game on a PC and you decide to play in the windowed mode, you can move the game's window around. This will cause the objects, such as vines, to move in connection with the movement of the window.

This is such a cool secret because very few people have even thought of trying it. It is great to see games where creators put so much love and effort into the game that you can find little secrets like this that truly bring the game to life.

Tamagotchi Step Counter

Once you reach the house at the end of the game, you can find a Tamagotchi. This has been counting your steps during the game; however, it will restart after 99,999 steps. There are some figurines that you can obtain by reaching this area with a lower amount of steps.

This is a pretty cool Easter egg just because Tamagotchis were such a large part of the early 2000s popular culture. It is nice to see them crop back up again every once in a while while playing modern games. This hidden gem proves that you should keep playing the game, even after reaching the end.

Touchpads make the objects move in-game

X user @Matt_Machromas discovered a pretty cool secret similar to the one @TerminX13 found. Players playing on the PlayStation with a Dualsense controller can use the trackpad to move objects around in the game's world.

This is another hidden secret that shows how much the developers cared about the game. You can tell that they cared about what they were creating. Few games today allow you to do so many different things to influence the world, making this a really neat secret.

Being eaten by a giant bunny

Once you have found all the secret bunnies in Animal Well, you can find this mysterious giant bunny. To do so, you need to head to the area with the manticore and travel to the part with the bunny statue and flag. From there, follow these directions: Up, Left, Up, Left, Up, Right, Up, Up, Left, Down, Left, Up, Up, Up, Right, Right, Down, Right, Up, Up, Up, Left, Down, Left, Up, Left, Up, Right, Right, Right, Up, Left. If done correctly, you will find this bunny.

What makes this secret so cool is that the bunny will actually eat you if you get too close to it. From there, you can travel through its stomach and be digested by it. Once that has been completed, you will gain a pair of wings that you can use to fly around with, making this a cool little secret.
