What are Wares in Baldur’s Gate 3?

Everyone who has played large RPGS like Baldur's Gate 3 has experienced the feeling of discovering a new mechanic, which can either be an exciting or frustrating experience. Adding items to wares is a confusing and poorly-explained mechanic in BG3 that falls into the latter camp, but luckily, we at PGG have detailed everything you need to know about it.

What Does the Add to Wares Mechanic in BG3 do? 

Adding items to wares allows you to send any unwanted items to a special sell menu called the Wares menu. To do so, use the Add to Wares option when speaking to any vendor.

To sell wares, simply interact with a merchant and select the Sell Wares option. You can also remove items from wares by visiting a given item's menu page.

How to add Items to Wares in Baldur's Gate 3

Players have several options for adding items to wares in BG3, the first of which is to hold the Shift button and left-click on any item in your inventory. You can also right-click an item and select Add to Wares, or right-click on an object and select Pick and Add to Wares.
