How to slide in Battlefield 2042?

Battlefield 2042 incorporates several movement mechanics, from walking to using a wingsuit. Sliding is an essential and integral action feature of any modern first-person shooter game.

You can slide in Battlefield 2042 by pressing the crouch button while sprinting. Players can do this during any of the two running mechanics in the game, i.e., normal sprint and traversal sprint. The action sequence for sliding goes by—Move Forward > Sprint > Crouch.

Here are the controls for sliding in Battlefield for keyboard/controller:

  • Move Forward - Hold W / Left Stick
  • Sprint - Press Shift / Left Stick (hold the button if you've opted for hold to sprint)
  • Crouch - Press L Ctrl / B (Xbox) / O (PlayStation)

These are the default settings pre-determined by the game and can be changed from the menu. Follow the steps shown below to change the movement controls in Battlefield 2042:

  • Select OPTIONS from the bottom-left corner of your screen.

  • Now you can modify every movement related control from the list.
