To reach the top of your cartel, you first have to join a cartel, perform well, and get promotions. I have explained all the aspects in detail below.

How to join a cartel in BitLife

To join a cartel in BitLife, you require the Boss Job Pack. Go to the store and purchase the entire Boss Job Pack for $10, or you can buy the individual Dealer Pack for $2.

Once you have the pack, create a character from the main menu and start doing petty crimes from childhood. I would suggest starting with something like Porch Pirating and then migrating to Grand Theft Auto to increase your notoriety (internal crime rating) in the game. I would also recommend dealing random stuff with your parents or other friends from a young age to increase your skill of dealing and interacting with people.

After turning 18, click on the Special Careers option and press the Dealer option. Now, pick a cartel with a low infamy rating and join them. Since you have been committing crimes since childhood, they will automatically take you in without any issues.

How to perform well in a Cartel

After joining the cartel, the next step is to perform well and become a vital part of your group. For this, I recommend following all the below instructions to bring in a lot of profit and gain promotion quickly.

  • Selling Drugs: As a Dealer, try to sell most of the Drugs to your family members and friends over other turf members during the initial stage to avoid getting caught by undercover cops. Do this, at least till you get promoted to the Runner position.
  • Drug Margin: Don't overcharge for your drug; instead, always try to have a $1 to $2 for your stuff. For example, if the market price is $35, sell your product at $36 or $38 to make the most profit and not make your customers angry.
  • Profit Sharing: After making a sale, always deposit the entire revenue amount to your cartel. If you don't, you will be summoned to the leader, who will beat you and take all the revenue money, which may sometimes lead to your death. So, don't be greedy and only accept the commissions from the sales.
  • Turf Control: To gain promotions, you will need to acquire a 100% turf rating. For this, you have to constantly sell drugs to the addicts living on your street. So, identify the customers that buy without much fuss and repeatedly keep selling to them until you reach 100%.
  • Cartel Members: Increase the relationship status with your Cartel Members. You can gift, spend time, converse, and compliment them regularly to keep the relationship status above 90 and be in their good books.
  • Supply Run: After becoming a runner, go for a lot of Supply Runs instead of just selling drugs. These are missions that require you to answer sensibly according to the given situation. So, read the text on the screen and understand the situation to make successful Supply Runs.
  • Manufacture Drugs: Manufacture great drugs that bring a lot of profit to your cartel. Keep experimenting with the various ingredients and make a concoction that will keep your users addicted! The only tip I have for making drugs is to keep the Cut Percentage around 50% to 60% to make a highly popular/addicting drug.
  • Inventory Range: Always keep two to four types of drugs in your inventory at all times. The main reason for this is that many of your customers will reject your proposal if you keep offering the same drugs again and again. So, have some variety to increase your sales and make a lot of money for your organization.

If you follow the above instructions, you will start gaining promotions pretty quickly in the following order: Dealer -> Cartel Runner -> Manufacturer -> Lieutenant -> Kingpin. It will take anywhere from 3 to 20 years to go from a simple Dealer to the Lieutenant of your cartel. There is no fixed time, and it depends on how well you perform. At this moment (you are the Lieutenant of your cartel), you can do two things: you can either keep toiling and work for a few more years to automatically get the Kingpin position or use the Mutiny button under your Activity tab to overthrow your current Kingpin and get promoted. I recommend doing the latter only if you have a good relationship with your other cartel members to support you during your mutiny; otherwise, you may end up getting killed by your current leader. That's all it is to become the Kingpin of your cartel in BitLife.
