One of the best ways to increase your profit numbers as a Zoo Keeper in BitLife is to keep baby animals as part of your display regularly. To do this, you need to have a male and female version of the same animal and breed them to make offspring. So, here is a brief guide on how to breed animals in BitLife and keep the revenue flowing.
BitLife Breeding Guide - Zoo Keeper Expansion Pack
Like in real life, to make offspring or any baby animal in BitLife, you need a male and female version of the same animal. For example, if you want a baby hippopotamus in your Zoo, you will require a male and female hippopotamus to breed.
Sometimes, you won't have a pair of the same animal type in your Zoo. Either one of the partners may have died due to illness, or you might only have a single animal while opening the Zoo. Irrespective of the reason, you have to get a pair to start breeding. So, how do you get a partner for your single animal? Well, that is where the Trading Post comes in use.
Browse through the entire Trading Post and look for a suitable partner of the opposite gender for your animal. You can find partners for almost every type of animal, like mammals, birds, reptiles, and more. Also, the Trading Post allows you to give your single animal to other Zoo or Wildlife sanctuaries who are looking for a similar animal to breed with their solo animal.
Once you have found a healthy pair of animals, the only thing left to do is breed and produce offspring. Click on the animal name from the Animals section and press the Breed option under the Activities tab. As mentioned earlier, if you have both animals, the breeding process will begin, and the female animal will get pregnant. The following year, you will have a beautiful baby animal to display in your Zoo.
One final tip I want to share: Rather than making all your animals pregnant at the same time, make one baby per year and keep rotating the list. For instance, if this year you had baby otters, pick coyotes for the next year and then parrots. Doing this allows you to have at least one baby animal in your Zoo and keep the revenue flowing.
