Players will be able to decide on their playstyle in Blackwind. They can battle enemies up close with melee attacks or fight from afar with various ranged attacks. To survive on the alien planet Medusa-42, players will need to use everything at their disposal to survive the horde of enemies.

Blackwind will also feature a local co-op. One player will control James Hawkins and the Battle Frame, while the other will control the Drone. Together, players can work as a team to defeat any enemy that is foolish enough to get in their way.
