Call of Duty fans will feel right at home with the Striker SMG in Modern Warfare 3. This powerful gun is one of the best in the game so far, and it'll continue to be that way well into the official release. Here's the best Striker class you can put together to dominate the competition.
Best Striker attachments in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3)
Modern Warfare 3 gives players plenty of customization options to fine tune their play styles, but there are few ways to stand out from the rest. The Striker is an SMG that does relatively well from range, but only if you have a handle on the recoil. That's why it's important to focus on attachments that'll keep your recoil down, essentially ensuring you hit your shots. Here's an example of that.
- Optic: MK.23 Reflector
- Barrel: Striker Recon Long Barrel
- Muzzle: Monolithic Surpressor
- Ammunition: .45 Auto High Grain
- Stock: No Stock
These attachments give you a nice blend of range and lower recoil. The ammunition and no stock will cause your recoil to suffer, but the tradeoff here is additional damage and faster ADS speed. If you're finding the gun too unwieldy, you'll be able to swap to the Lachmann MK2 Light Stock and replace the ammo with the Chewk Angled Grip underbarrel.
The Striker SMG encourages a fast run-and-gun playstyle, so that's why we opted for the above attachments. If you're somebody who likes to post up in one area, you might find a different set of attachments better suited for you.
Best Striker class setup in MW3
While your attachments are the most important part of your setup, you'll want to maximize the entire class. This starts with the Engineer Vest as it allows you to quickly spot enemy equipment—something that comes in handy while running around the map.
- Vest: Engineer Vest
- Tactical: Battle Rage
- Field Equipment: Comm Scrambler
- Gloves: Scavenger Gloves
- Boots: Tactical Boots
- Gear: Bone Conduction Headset
- Gear: Mission Control Comlink
There are a few variations to the build you can make depending on the situation. Swapping out the Battle Rage tactical for Flash Grenades could come in handy if you're trying to break a strong position, for example. Commando Gloves could get the edge over Scavenger Gloves too if you want to reload while sprinting. Different builds do perform better on different maps and modes, so keep that in mind too.
Your secondary is really up to you because you're not going to be using it a whole lot. The Renetti is a strong option, but the same can be said for the COR-45. Give both a try and see what one fits better for you.
