Call of Duty Vanguard comes with many customization options, be it in-game settings or custom weapon loadouts. One of the most important gameplay settings in the field of view (FOV). Luckily, Vanguard allows players to change their FOV on all platforms, i.e., PC and PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.
To change your field of view in CoD Vanguard on any platform, follow the steps shown below:
- Select "SETTINGS" from the bottom-left of your screen.
- Head over to the "GRAPHICS" column and look for the "FIELD OF VIEW" tab.
- You can easily change the field of view by moving the bar left for a lower FOV value or right for a higher FOV. You can set it anywhere between 60 and 120.
- If on mouse and keyboard, you can also type the desired FOV value next to the bar.

The default value of FOV is set to very low, which may not be ideal. A wider field of view is very important in a multiplayer game. However, it comes with some downsides.
In a higher FOV, farther objects and character models appear smaller because the game has to fit more in the same space. This may cause trouble spotting enemies for some players. Furthermore, the game also warns players that increasing the field of view may cause performance issues such as reduced frame rate (FPS).
Although there is no performance change in Warzone while changing FOV, Vanguard has. That could be because the game has to render more compared to a lower field of view. Nonetheless, a high FOV is preferably better, ideally anywhere in the range of 90–110.
