In MW3 Zombies, the Mega Abomination is an overpowered boss you'll encounter in the high-threat zone, and defeating this creature can be quite frustrating. I defeated several Mega Abominations in every run to farm top-tier loot, so here are a few tricks you can try to do the same.
Where to find the Mega Abomination in MW3 Zombies (Map)
Mega Abominations are massive zombies that spawn in the red high-threat zone around the center of the map. This is a tanky enemy that can absorb ridiculous amounts of damage. Although Mega Abominations move slowly, they shoot energy beams that can devastate your character, even if you are wearing a three-plate vest. Finding this type of enemy in the high-threat zone is easy, as they are almost everywhere. You can always start a Bounty or High-Value Target Contract inside the red zone to hunt a Mega Abomination zombie.
If you are planning to visit the red high-threat zone, I recommend gearing up appropriately; Pack-A-Punch your weapon to Level 3, improve its rarity to Legendary by using Aether Tools, and get a self-revive. Ideally, you want to farm Aether Nests and Infested Strongholds to get Turret Mods that can be used to activate Deadbolt Turrets.
In the red zone, there are plenty of ziplines and ladders that allow you to climb up on spots that are tougher to reach for zombies. I found one of these vantage points south of the Old Town POI from where I shot down the Mega Abomination without taking any damage.
How to kill the Mega Abomination easily in MW3 Zombies
Eliminating a Mega Abomination, even with a max-level Pack-A-Punch weapon, can be time-consuming; most often you'll run out of ammunition and would need to visit an Ammo Depot to restock on items. What I do instead is lure the enemy into an area where there are Deadbolt Turrets; the Turrets are quite powerful and deal more damage to enemies like the Mega Abomination. Make sure to find a Turret Mod before entering the red zone, and equip the modification after you've lured the enemy close to it.
Check the images above to see how the Turret auto-fires on the Mega Abomination. I've tested this technique in multiple runs, and the results are far better compared to using leveled-up weapons or killstreaks. You can try this method solo, but I recommend partying up with a friend or visiting the red zone with teammates. Once the enemy is defeated, you'll be rewarded with top-tier loot including unique schematics, cyphered tablets, killstreaks, and a ton of essence.
