Hardcore mode in Call of Duty: Vanguard limits health, HUD, and enables friendly fire. To switch between regular and Hardcore playlists in Multiplayer, select Filter next to Quick Play. Then, go to the Hardcore tab and select Set as Quick Play Filter (Square on PS, Y on Xbox).
Once selected, players have the option to pick what match types to search for and Combat Pacing preference. Hardcore Mode has all the same match types as normal, but none of the unique modes like Champion Hill or Western Front.

Hardcore Mode is a great challenge for those who want to test their strategy and reaction time. Hardcore Mode is also a good place to level up weapons, especially pistols, since health is limited.
Finding cover, listening for enemies, and changing positions are extremely important actions in Hardcore Mode because kills can happen in the blink of an eye. Players should give Hardcore Mode a try as it will be a fresh change in pacing and gameplay and will present a challenge that requires more skill.
