Is the Black Noir skin pay-to-win in Warzone 2?

Custom-built for stealth situations.

Collaborations and crossovers are a massive part of Call of Duty, and we have seen some amazing skins joining the operator roster in Warzone 2. A recent post from @TheBoysTV revealed that three new operators are coming to Call of Duty Warzone 2: Homelander, Starlight, and Black Noir, with individual operator bundles. Naturally, players are wondering if the Black Noir skin will follow in the footsteps of the Roze outfit from Warzone 1, invariably becoming a pay-to-win cosmetic.

Activision's official blog mentions that the Black Noir bundle will cost around 2,400 CoD Points and it's scheduled to release on July 20, 2023. This bundle will have two Tracer weapon blueprints, along with the Noir's Blades melee weapon to complete the set. The blog also mentions that this bundle is "custom-built for stealth situations across all modes", which makes us wonder if the Black Noir skin will be pay-to-win in Warzone 2.

From my experience in Warzone 1, the Roze skin was unquestionably the most controversial cosmetic item in the game. This outfit gave players an edge in every match as the Roze skin could easily blend in with shadows and dark surfaces. You would often find a platoon of enemies using this skin and camping at different spots on the map completely undetected. After weeks of requests from the community, Activision redesigned the Roze skin with new distinguishable features that made it more visible in Warzone.

We cannot be sure for certain if the Black Noir skin will be pay-to-win until it is released, but it won't be surprising considering the new DMZ bundles that come with UAVs, Self-Res, and two-plate Vests. Looking at Black Noir's skin design for Warzone 2, you can see that there are bright highlights on the operator's torso and arms. Hopefully, this will be a distinguishable factor, and will not affect the operator's visibility as was the case with the Roze skin. While I feel this won't be as bad as the Roze skin, don't be surprised to see players using the Black Noir outfit to camp at odd spots across all the maps in Warzone 2.
