How to get a Coop for your farm in Coral Island

While upgrading your house in Coral Island can be fun in itself, don't forget to show some love to the exterior portion of your property. A coop is a great way to dip your toes in!

Getting a coop is the most accessible of the farm buildings, so don't worry too much. As long as you have the right materials and follow the correct steps, you'll have a coop on your land in as soon as two in-game days.

How do you get a Coop in Coral Island?

A coop, at the first level, will allow you to host four coop animals on your farm in Coral Island. If you want to get a coop on your land ASAP, you'll need to follow these steps:

  • Go to the Carpenter while they are open (9am - 5pm M-F & 9am - 2pm Sundays)
  • When interacting with the Shop counter, choose Carpenter amongst the options
  • Choose the option that says Coop blueprint
  • The blueprint will be placed in your inventory. Take it back to your farm and find a location for the coop
  • Wait two days for your coop to be fully built

You can use this same process again once you're ready to rank up your coop to level 2.

Materials needed for a Coop in Coral Island

It's not enough to just pay money for a coop in Coral Island. You'll also need a decent amount of materials, whether your find or purchase them. Most are pretty easy to get, as the coop is a lower level farm building. In order to get the carpenter to make a coop for you, you'll need:

  • 100 Wood
  • 50 Stone
  • 5 Bronze bars
  • 10 Fiber
  • 2,000 Coins

Why can’t I place my Coop in Coral Island?

If you're having trouble getting your coop to place correctly in Coral Island, it's usually one of two problems. Make sure to clear the area of debris, as this is often the problem. Grass, rocks, tree seeds, wood, and trash all need to be moved out of the way to place your coop. You always need to be certain that your character is not standing in the way, nor are they standing too far away when placing the coop.
