What is the Off The Record Perk in Dead by Daylight?

Off The Record is a perk in Dead by Daylight often referred to as an anti-tunneling perk. (Tunneling is a practice in Dead by Daylight that often can spell doom for you if you're a survivor.) Effectively, the Off The Record perk helps your evasion and boosts your chances of survival.

How to get the Off The Record perk in Dead by Daylight

The Off The Record perk is made for Zarina Kassir, the documentarian introduced in Chapter 15. You can use the perk with other survivors once you have gotten Zarina Kassir's Prestige to Tiers 1-3.

What Does the Off The Record Perk do in Dead by Daylight?

When becoming unhooked or you have unhooked yourself, the Off The Record perk automatically activates for a set amount of time (between 60-80 seconds, depending on the tier level). Once the Exit Gates are powered, Off The Record no longer works. The perk triggers three effects:

  • Gives the Endurance status effect.
  • Suppresses the Grunts of Pain effect when injured.
  • The killer cannot read your Aura.
