Dead by Daylight Chapter 29 Alien Release Date

Dead by Daylight Chapter 29 Alien will come out on August 29, 2023. It's still unclear what the exact time for the release is, but once it is revealed, we will add it here for different time zones. That said, there are a lot of other details for this chapter, and you can check them out below.

Dead by Daylight Chapter 29 Killer — The Xenomorph

The new killer in this Dead by Daylight chapter is the Xenomorph, a creature from the Alien movie franchise. The Xenomorph looks extremely creepy and realistic chasing the new survivor in the trailer. As always, this killer will have unique perks and abilities to use in-game.

The Xenomorph Perks

  • Ultimate Weapon: This perk activates for 30 seconds when you open a locker and create a terror radius. When survivors enter this radius, they scream, which reveals their location, and they get blind for 30 seconds. The perk has a cooldown of 30, 35, or 40 seconds.
  • Rapid Brutality: You can no longer gain Bloodlust. When you hit a survivor, you get 5% haste for 8,9 or 10 seconds.
  • Alien Instinct: You can activate this perk when you hook any survivor. When this happens, you can see the farthest survivor for five seconds, and they are unaware of it for 16, 18, or 20 seconds.

The Xenomorph Power

  • Runner Mode Ablity: The Xenomorph will start walking on four legs, which reduces the terror radius and make it stealthier. Additionally, it can use a powerful tail attack when in Runner Mode.
  • Hidden Pursuit: This ability lets the Xenomorph access multiple tunnels on the map, making it easier to move throughout the map and recharge the Runner Mode ability. When it exists a tunnel, all survivors will be alerted by their killer instincts.

Dead by Daylight Chapter 29 Survivor — Ellen Ripley

Ellen Ripley is the featured survivor in Chapter 29 of Dead by Daylight. She is the protagonist of the original Alien trilogy, played by Sigourney Weaver. The details of her expressions and movement looked amazing. Additionally, she used some new moves during the trailer, which may make it to the game. She will also have three unique perks.

Ellen Ripley Perks

  • Lucky Star: This perk will activate once you hide inside a locker. This will allow you to leave no blood or noise due to pain for 10 seconds. Once you exit the locker, you will see other survivors and the closest generator with a yellow aura. This perk has a cooldown of 30, 35, and 40 seconds.
  • Chemical Trap: This perk gives Ellen a trap that she can install after dropping a pallet, and it stays active for 100, 110, or 120 seconds. The trap activates once the killer tries to break the pallet, causing it to explode and leaving the killer at 50% speed for the next 4 seconds. You can only use this perk after completing 50, 60, or 70% repair on any generator.
  • Light Footed: This perk activates when you are healthy and allows you to be silent when running. There is a 20, 24, or 28 seconds cooldown once you perform a rushed action.

Dead by Daylight Chapter 29 Map — Nostromo Wreckage

The new map is called Nostromo Wreckage, also from the Alien franchise. The map is a massive ship full of different areas for you to check out as both killer and survivor. There are also some new special features with this map.

Nostromo Wreckage features

  • Control Stations: There will be seven different control stations across the map. The Xenomorph can use these to get inside the tunnels and move around. The survivors can get Remote Flame Turrets from any of these stations.
  • Remote Flame Turret: This is a special item that survivors can place to attack the Xenomorph. Once the Xenomorph is within range, the turret can either slow it down or deactivate its Runner Mode. If it does, the turret will be overheated and must be repaired by a survivor. The Xenomorph can also destroy it.

As mentioned, you will see the Xenomorph and Ellen Ripley released on August 29. As one of the most beloved horror franchises of all time, Chapter 29 of Dead by Daylight has a lot to live up to. That said, the new killer, survivor, and map look great so far, and I hope they can deliver a true horror experience.
