Horror games are already scary enough when you don't have to deal with them stuttering as you play. Unfortunately, the Dead Space remake suffers from this issue, making shooting off a necromorph's limbs a much harder task than it needs to be. How to prevent Dead Space remake from stuttering on PC
Regardless of whether you are experiencing stuttering, lag, or frame drops, you can try the following fixes:

- Check your graphics settings and lower them to either Medium or Low.
- Check any applications running in the background.
- Press the Ctrl, Alt, and Dlt keys at the same time to open up the Task Manager, where you can see and close any background applications.
- Turn on VSync to limit your framerate to be stable up to 60 FPS.
- Alternatively, you can turn VSync off and disable the Frame Rate Limit.
- Check the refresh rate on your TV or monitor.
- If possible, try to lower the refresh rate from 120 Hz to 60 Hz.
- Update your graphics card to the latest driver.
- Turn on your GPU-specific settings.
- Nvidia Users: Turn on GSync.
- AMD Users: Turn on Vertical Refresh.
- Play the game using admin privileges.
- Right-click on the DeadSpace.exe game file.
- Select the Properties option.
- Go to the compatibility tab.
- In the Options, tick off the Run This Program as Administrator box.
- Save the changes.
