Destiny 2's recent expansion, The Final Shape, has brought new content and cool systems to spice up player's day-to-day activities. Thundercrash is a Titan super that has not seen much play outside of the PvP landscape, but thanks to the new Prismatic Subclass we are unearthing some synergies to make this build hit like lightning.
Best Destiny 2 Prismatic Thundercrash Titan build
The new Prismatic Subclass has a unique question; which super do you choose? Thundercrash is one of the coolest abilities in the game, sending the player surging forth like Superman and crashing (hence the name) into an explosion of lightning to devastate foes. Prismatic brings some cool toys that can help bring a unique build of the Titan together that will dish out as much damage as it does support your teammates.
Best Destiny 2 Prismatic Thundercrash Titan abilities
Below we detail all the abilities you need in order to thunder your way through the battlefield and crash right into your foes.
- Thundercrash: This is a given for obvious reasons but it truly is one of the coolest looking supers in the game.
- Rally Barricade: We specifically use the Rally Barricade due to its innate synergy with the Drengr's Lash Aspect, which gives our Rallying Barricade the ability to shoot forth three Strand projectiles that suspend enemies. This allows our Barricade to be used offensively and gives Titans the ability to be more aggressive while bringing a good form of crowd control to any fireteam.
- Frenzied Blade: I debated using the Void Shield due to the Overshield potential, however, it is very clunky to use and is very easy to miss a target and essentially waste the ability. So Frenzied Blade is the next obvious choice; its three charges increase the damage output, it spawns Tangles on kills for extra destruction, and recharges fairly quickly. The other options for the Titan melee are all lackluster and I wouldn't recommend them.
- Suppression Grenade: For the first time with Prismatic the Titan is spoiled for choice, however, we are dead set on the Suppression Grenade thanks to its synergy with the Facet of Dominance Fragment. Together these two abilities weaken and suppress targets, which drastically increases the damage we deal to them.
Best Destiny 2 Prismatic Thundercrash Fragments
Thanks to their sparkling newness, you may have to do some searching to find all the Fragments for the Prismatic subclass.
- Facet of Dominance: As I touched on before, the Facet of Domination is a must-have due to its pairing with the Suppression Grenade. You'll find that the damage from the grenade itself and the increased oomph that you dish out will be very satisfying.
- Facet of Solitude: Hitting precision blows with your weapon is the bare minimum you have to do to deal as much damage as possible, so a Fragment that reduces the damage of that enemy is a free bonus.
- Facet of Balance: No matter what you do you'll always be triggering the Facet of Balance, getting final blows with your melee recharges your grenade quickly and vice-versa. This Fragment is perfect for keeping your abilities triggering their cooldown quicker—especially with the Frenzied Blade ability that can hold three charges of the melee.
- Facet of Dawn: Using your melee as a Titan should be as natural as breathing air, it is part-in-parcel with the entire design of the class. What better way to increase your power than by gaining radiant every time you hit an enemy with a powered melee? There isn't one.
- Facet of Blessing: This Fragment offers instant health regeneration every time you slay an enemy with your melee, whether that is with Frenzied Blade (of which you have three charges and a giant AoE slice) or your standard fist to the face against red-bar mobs.
Best Destiny 2 Prismatic Thundercrash Aspects
Since we only have access to five total Aspects and three of them are downright terrible, it's an easy choice as to which ones to take. We first start with the Drengr's Lash which is a must-have to enable your Rallying Barricade to be used offensively. Using this Aspect sends three ripples in reality to suspend enemies and cause them to freeze in the air for a few moments. Our second Aspect is less crucial but is certainly more useful than the other three; Knockout improves our melee (which the Titan is uniquely positioned to use) and thanks to all the buffs we equip our melee damage is through the roof.
That is all we have on the Prismatic Thundercrash Titan build.
