How to solve the notes riddle in Diablo 4

With Diablo 4 out, players complete quests worldwide, trying to level up as much as possible before advancing further into acts. Side quests provide an excellent source of additional experience and resources for heroes of all classes, but sometimes to complete them successfully will require you to use your wits. I've unexpectedly come onto a quest that starts as a riddle, with no further explanation but a short poem written on paper. Let's get right into solving it together!

How to solve the Secret of the Spring notes riddle in Diablo IV

To start the Secret of the Spring side quest in Diablo 4, travel northeast of Kyovashad. You are looking for a Discarded Note lying on the ledge, with ladders leading down to a lower level. Click on the Note to initiate the Secret of the Spring quest, and you will be greeted with a short song that is also a riddle, saying the following: "Beacon of warmth in winter's embrace, patience awarded by nature's own grace!"

Next, head over to the small hot spring northeast of your current location. It will be the one with the dead soldier nearby. To solve the riddle, you will have to think outside the box with this one! As implied in the note, patience is the key, albeit not in any obvious way! Instead, it involves using a "Wait!" emote to summon the invisible chest, solving the riddle. You will be awarded a free chest and some EXP for your effort once you stand in the location described in the image above and use the said emote.

Equipping an emote in Diablo IV

Follow the steps below to equip an emote in Diablo 4.

• Open an Emote menu by pressing E on a keyboard or the Up button on a d-pad.
• Press Customize at the bottom.
• Assign a Wait Emote from the list of unselected emotes to an open slot on the wheel.
  • To use an emote, stand by the spring and press E on a keyboard or the Up button on a d-pad to bring up the Emote menu and select Wait Emote to use it.
