Dark wood is one of the rarest and most useful wood types. Whether you're looking to design some furniture or create an item for a quest, you'll want some stored. Here's where to find some.
Where to find Dark Wood in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Dark Wood can only be collected from the Forgotten Lands Biome in the upper left corner of the Valley. This will require you to unlock the Sunlit Plateau with 7,000 Dreamlight and then the Forgotten Lands with 15,000 Dreamlight.
Once you can access the Biome, you can find the pieces of wood spread around the area's grounds, usually at the base of the trees. More will randomly spawn as you play, so even if you seem to have picked all the wood available at the moment, know that more will soon take its place. Approach a piece, and the option to pick it up will be displayed on your screen as A/X on your console or E on your PC. If you can't seem to find any at the moment, you can wait 30-40 minutes for more to respawn.

What is Dark Wood used for in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
Dark Wood has several different uses around the Valley. You may need to collect it for specific quests or just wish to sell it for an extra 50 Star Coins each. However, its most common use is as a material to craft with. Various crafting recipes require Dark Wood; as you collect the required amount, they will become available at your Crafting Table.
Dark Wood is an essential item, especially when it comes to crafting, so be sure to pick some up as you see it to stock up. You can only collect it from the ground of The Forgotten Lands, so keeping a chest to store it all as often as possible may be helpful.
