Never leave the camp without these!

Traversing the challenging terrains of Little Colorado, the Carpathians, and Arizona would be impossible if I didn't rely on tools to help me in tight spots. Here are the best tools you should always include in your inventory in Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game.

Top 5 most useful tools and items in Expeditions A Mudrunner Game

Below are the essential tools you'll need to conquer the merciless wilderness in Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game. Most of these tools are affordable and will cost you anywhere from 500 to 1500 cash. Seeing as you'll be starting off with around 34000 cash, you should have no trouble designating a portion of that amount to keeping your inventory stocked.

1. Jack-Screw

The jack-screw is practically irreplaceable in later stages of the game, where any boulder could potentially flip you over. The jack-screw flips the truck back into a horizontal position, but you can only use it if the truck is completely flipped upside down. At the cost of 1500 cash, you should always keep a pack of two jack-screws in your inventory.

2. Anchor

The winch is a device I rely on the most, whether to help me get out of a muddy puddle, drive up a steep climb or pull a second vehicle out of a swampy bog. When there are no trees in sight, place the anchor on a flat surface close by and use it to pull the truck towards the desired path. A pack of five anchors will set you back 1200 cash, but if you have room to spare, consider adding an extra anchor pack just in case.

3. Fuel

You won't have trouble with fuel shortages in the early stages of Expeditions, supposing you know what you're doing. However, it's always good to keep extra stocks of fuel should you want to explore further during missions. A pack of fuel costs 500 cash and includes 50 liters (13 gallons)—if you plan on free roaming after completing the expedition, bring two packs.

4. Spare Wheel

Once you lose a wheel, you're pretty much stranded and forced to respawn at your headquarters. A spare wheel will cost you 750 cash, and one wheel usually does the trick throughout the first half of the game. The rule of thumb is: If you think you won't need it, you likely will.

5. Spare Parts

The chances of completing an expedition without damaging your truck are practically zero. A stock of spare parts provides you with 100 extra points to invest in repairing broken parts of your truck. Throughout the latter half of the Arizona campaign, you'll need two packs to keep things rolling. At the cost of 500 cash per pack, you should be able to afford it at any time.
