Where to find Grafton Monster in Fallout 76

Fallout 76 is home to numerous creatures based on real-world stories and mythologies. I have encountered many of these creatures—such as the Fallout 76 Wendigos—during my travels, but one creature stands tall among the rest: the Grafton Monster. Here's how to find the Grafton Monster and the best way to kill it. 

Where to find Grafton Monster in Fallout 76 & How to Beat It

You can find the Grafton Monster in Fallout 76, usually by the town of Grafton. Sometimes the Grafton monster will not spawn because another player has already killed it. In this situation, you can either reload the game and try a different server or check one of the other locations the Grafton Monster spawns in Fallout 76.

Grafton Monster Location in Fallout 76

You can find the main location for Fallout 76 Grafton Monsters northeast of Vault 76 in Grafton. Use the screenshot below if you haven't been to the town of Grafton yet.

Besides Grafton, you can also find a Grafton Monster near Charleston Trainyard, east of the Charleston Capitol Building near Summersville Dam. Use the screenshot to pinpoint all of these locations:

Another good location for finding a Grafton Monster is south of Hemlock, where one can occasionally spawn.

Other locations you can hit if you are not having any luck finding the Grafton Monster include the following locations and events, though they only have a slight chance of spawning one.  

• Players can encounter a Grafton Monster during the Grafton Day event.
• An Alpha Grafton Monster sometimes appears during Project Paradise and Queen of the Hunt events.
• One Grafton Monster can appear during the Ol' Weston Shuffle Main quest. 
•  Another can appear near Whitespring Resort and the golf club.

How to defeat Grafton Monster in Fallout 76

The best way to defeat Grafton Monsters is with superior firepower. In short, most enemies in Fallout 76 are bullet sponges, so you want to grab a minigun or a powerful energy weapon and lots of ammo. We recommend engaging the Grafton Monster from range and with a friend for the best results. Players should also target the blow holes on the Grafton Monster to deal increased damage. The blowholes are on each shoulder of the Grafton below, making them easy targets. In my case, I used a 50 Cal machine gun to make short work of the Grafton Monster by targeting its shoulders.
