Best Weapons in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

All FF7 Rebirth characters have different skills, cores, and abilities in their evolution. Each of them employs a distinct fighting style and requires different types of weapons. Except for usual combat stats like attack and magic offense, every weapon has a unique ability that improves the character's combat.

Slipstream Saber

Cloud's supreme sword, Slipstream Saber, maximizes his balance of physical and magic damage. Slipstream Saber's special ability is Counterstance, which makes Cloud take the enemy attack and then retaliate.

Plumose Rod

This weapon greatly enhances Aerith's magic damage, giving her a lot of useful spells. The special ability, Ray of Judgement, fires multiple energy bursts that boast an increased damage bonus on staggered enemies.

Jarngreipr

Tifa's ultimate pair of gloves gives her huge physical attack stats, which greatly suits her combo-heavy style. Jarngreipr's special ability, True Strike, deals tremendous damage on staggered enemies in close range.

Battle Cry

Battle Cry is Barret's ultimate Gun Arm, and it increases his already impressive ATB gain rate. Turbulent Spirit ability increases Barret's ATB charge even more, though for a limited time and once per battle.

Brisingamen

This weapon boasts impressive magic attack values, with a bit less but still great physical attack. Brisingamen gives Red XIII a lot of options for magic attacks. The Reaper Touch ability makes Red XIII's attacks more powerful as his hit points are lower.

Crystalline Cross

This weapon gives Yuffie exceptional physical attack value, but the tradeoff is a weak magic rate. Banishment weapon ability converts ATB points spent into other commands into damage boost.

Gjallarhorn

Similar to Yuffie's weapon, Gjallarhorn has an excellent attack ratio but very weak magic damage. The selling point of Gjallarhorn is Lady Luck's ability, which temporarily increases the critical hit rate for all allies.
