Enemy Skill is one of the most useful materia in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. However, one of the game’s flaws is preventing you from accessing its description. So what do all the enemy skills do?
All Enemy Skills and how to get them in FF7 Rebirth
Since some skills are better than others, this list should let you know which regions you should be exploring more thoroughly than others. They're all obtained in Chadley’s Combat Simulator. You need to assess monsters and defeat the foe that holds the skill.
Enemy Skill | Requirements | Classified Foe | Effect |
Sonic Boom | Challenge available by default | Velociwing | Unleash a Wind attack; increases ATK and Magic ATK |
Plasma Discharge | All enemies assessed in the Grasslands | Quetzalcoalt | Imbues regular attacks with Lightning; deals surround damage whenever an ATB gauge is filled |
Soothing Breeze | All enemies assessed in the Junon Region | Whymzelett | Stop moving and gradually restore the HP of surrounding allies |
Self-Destruct | All enemies assessed in the Corel Region | Mindflayer | Deals huge damage to enemies in the surrounding area; costs 2 ATB and reduces the user's HP to 0 |
Mind Blast | All enemies assessed in the Gongaga Region | Mindflayer | Deals non-elemental damage and paralyzes the enemy |
Rancid Breath | All enemies assessed in Cosmo Canyon | Malboro | Randomly inflicts Silence, Sleep, Stop, or Petrification over a wide area (more than one status effect can land); costs 2 ATB |
Gorgon Shield | All enemies assessed in the Nibel Region | Jabberworky | Create a shield that fires petrifying shots when attacked |

How to get more enemy skills in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
To get more skills in your Enemy Skill materia, you need to assess enemies in the regions and dungeons you explore, defeat enemy intel foes, and level up your Enemy Skill. This will unlock a Biology combat challenge in Chadley’s Combat Simulator.
Take these on, and you’ll earn an enemy skill of a unique enemy you defeated in the area! Chadley will always show you what your next list of requirements is for the next skill. If you forgot to assess any of the regional enemies, you can take on the combat challenges in hopes that they'll be there (they usually are).
