Final Fantasy XVI is full of things to do, whether you enjoy fast-paced gameplay, an engaging narrative, or a beautiful world to explore. The latter contains many secrets, one of which I accidentally stumbled upon. This is the treasure map, which immediately sent me on a quest to discover what riches this secret held. Let's dive into where you can find the FFXVI treasure map and how to claim the lost treasure.

Where to find the Treasure Map in FFXVI

You can find the Treasure Map on a dead body in the northwest area of the Great Southern Gate in Waloed. Look for a pile of rubble and the knight's red clothing. The Obelisk at Eistla and Ravenwit Walls are the fastest ways to reach this spot. You'll spot an option to interact, which will collect the map.

The map has the following text:

"A crudely drawn map in whose margin is scrawled the message, 'To all who would seek to mint gil, follow ye the path to Kretov.'"

The Treasure Map will, not surprisingly, lead you to treasure in FFXVI. This is located in Titan's Wake, toward the southern end. The Obelisk at the Gilded Path is the fastest way to reach this location. Here you will find a treasure chest containing One Man's Treasure. This can be sold for 100,000 gil, leaving you and Clive fairly rich. Don't spend all your hard-earned gil in one place now!
