There are more fireworks and celebrations to come in Final Fantasy XIV as Square Enix reveals details about the upcoming Rising celebration. Information about The Rising 2023 was released on Friday (August 18) morning across social media and with an accompanying blog post.
What to expect from The Rising in FFXIV?
The Rising 2023 will feature a new event quest starring the ever-inquisitive journalist Kipih Jakkya, a brand new phoenix mount, a new piece of furnishing, and two orchestrion rolls. And, as usual, we’ll likely see an in-game appearance from none other than Naoki Yoshida as he once again thanks us for our commitment to the game!

The mount, the Rising Phoenix, seems like a direct reference to the Phoenix Primal from the Binding Coil raids. Given this raid series also enters its 10th anniversary this year, it’s an appropriate reward for the Rising event.
As for the furnishing item, it's a wall-mounted art piece entitled The Rising Advertisement and features the Scions enjoying The Rising event. The two orchestrion rolls are The Land Reborn and Pom from the Heavens.
The event will run from Sunday, August 27, until the launch of Patch 6.5, which is yet to be announced, but is apparently scheduled for early October. So take in the fireworks, enjoy the celebration, and move on to 10 more years of FFXIV!
