Final Fantasy XIV players can now dress up like a Tonberry and transmog their clothes to look like a giant version of the murderous enemy. But how do you obtain the Glamour set? Here's how to get the Tonberry Outfit in FFXIV.
Where to get the Tonberry Outfit in FFXIV
Currently, the only way to get your hands on the Tonberry Outfit in Final Fantasy 14 is through the Hatching-tide 2023 event, which takes place by the Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre in Old Gridania. You need to collect Special Midnight Archon Eggs and trade them in for pieces of the outfit.
You can only get Special Midnight Archon Eggs by participating in and completing the Don't Be Sylphish event FATE in Central Shroud. Head to X: 24, Y:29, to the south of Bentbranch, and wait in the orange circle until the FATE appears.
Collect the Archon Eggs, dodging the Sylph attacks while you do so, and then hand them into the NPC here to finish the FATE to be rewarded with a number of Special Midnight Archon Eggs, depending on your performance. We'd recommend partying up with other players to increase your rewards to avoid having to beat the event FATE multiple times.
You need a total of 10 Special Midnight Archon Eggs to get every piece of the Tonberry Outfit. With the Eggs in hand, return to the Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre in Old Gridania and speak to the Dreamer NPC dressed in a Tonberry outfit, where you can trade them for the rewards.
The full Tonberry Outfit consists of five pieces:
- Tonberry Head - 2x Special Midnight Archon Eggs
- Tonberry Body - 2x Special Midnight Archon Eggs
- Tonberry Hands - 2x Special Midnight Archon Eggs
- Tonberry Culottes - 2x Special Midnight Archon Eggs
- Tonberry Boots - 2x Special Midnight Archon Eggs
To complete the look, you may also want to purchase the Tonberry Knife separately, as it isn't included in the event's Glamour set.
