Best locations to find & destroy Slurp Barrels in Fortnite

Slurp Barrels are the easiest items you can use to replenish your Health or Shield, among other consumables like Shield Potions, Slurp Juice, Slap Juice, and more. What sets Slurp Barrels apart, though, is the fact that you can find them scattered around the map, and must break them to get the shield or health. I often find this to be more convenient than taking the time to drink a potion or juice. Here's how you can find and destroy Slurp Barrels in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4.

Slurp Barrel Locations in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4

The Slurp Barrel is a healing item that first made its appearance in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 1. The barrel contains a liquid that has healing properties. Players occasionally need to destroy Slurp Barrels in the weekly quest, which usually has four stages.

Although they are scattered throughout the map, there are specific locations where players can find them the most. Once destroyed, each Slurp Barrel grants 10 HP. Here are some locations where you can find them in more abundance:

• Brutal Bastion
• Shattered Slabs
• Relentless Retreat
• Slappy Shores
• Creeky Compound
• Between landmarks Drift Ridge and Mesa's Reach

How to destroy Slurp Barrels in Fortnite

Once a Slurp Barrel has been found, players need to use their Harvesting tool to break it open. Keep hitting the Slurp Barrel and wait until it explodes, which will automatically boost your health or Shield. Slurp Barrels grant both Health and Shield, which makes them an important asset in situations where the player is low on either. Much like Chug Splash and the unvaulted Slurp Juice, Slurp Barrels will prioritize Health first and then move to Shield if players have +100 HP.

Slurp Barrels can be found all around the map in more obscure locations as well. They come in handy in stressful situations where you may be in dire need of some healing or Shield, so always keep an eye out for them!
