Fortnite players aren’t happy over the new Star Wars crossover LEGO pass pricing

They say that the pass has way less value.

Fortnite fans are divided over the new Star Wars crossover event pass. The crossover event will span the entire game universe including the Battle Royale, Lego Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, and Rocket Racing modes. Now, fans are arguing about the pricing of the event pass which contains a popular skin.

Some Fortnite players feel the event pass for the Star Wars crossover event offers little value in terms of savings, while also being more expensive than the previous Star Wars pass. The upcoming Star Wars-themed event pass will cost players 1400 V-Bucks which is 400 more than last year's one. Last year the pass included the Coruscant Guard outfit while this year will include the skin for the fan-favorite character Chewbacca.

However, since the event pass is mainly focusing on LEGO Fortnite and the pass progression is tied to that, some feel that the increase in price of 400 V-Bucks is too much for those who don't even play that mode. It essentially means players who don't play LEGO Fortnite will only be getting the Chewbacca skin for the price of the pass. One user on Reddit labeled it the ''Lego Tax'' while another user feels that this mode will bring this game ''down by a notch''.

Other players argue that if the Chewbacca skin was in the shop it would've usually cost them 1500 Vbucks anyway so they are saving a bit of money by buying the pass. They also point out that it is a LEGO Pass rather than a Battle Royale one so it is bound to have more content for LEGO Fortnite than the Battle Royale mode.

LEGO Fortnite players, on the other hand, have a more optimistic reaction to the event pass, with one user on Reddit saying it is better and cheaper compared to other bundles in the shop. They also are happy that the price of the event pass is around the same price of a skin.

The Fortnite Star Wars crossover event will start on May 3 and will continue until May 14. For more on Fortnite, check out the Chapter 5 Codes for Skins, V-bucks, & Free Items on Pro Game Guides.
