Showing off in Fornite is as old as the game itself. When you purchase or achieve a new emote or dance, you naturally will want to show it off to your friends. Some emotes are exclusive to specific missions, and you'll find many of them are rewards for leveling up your Battle Pass. Regardless of where you get them, this easy guide will explain how to level them up on all platforms!
How to Emote in Fortnite on PC, Xbox, Playstation, Switch & Mobile
Each platform of the game is different in some way. We've explained how to emote on each platform below.
PC
This is simple and quick. While in-game, if you press the B key on your keyboard, it will open an emote wheel. You can select which page of emotes to choose from by highlighting one of them at the top of your screen. If you just want to select an Emote to use, you simply scroll your mouse over the one you like and click!Â
The tabs at the top offer multiple pages of emotes for you use. If you want to use an emote that you don't currently have equipped to your short-list, you can try switching tabs to see if it's on another emote page.

Consoles (Xbox, Playstation, and Switch)
All of the games' console versions may be different, but the process for emoting is essentially the same. When you're in-game, the first thing you must do is hold down the Down Arrow on your contr0ller's D-Pad. When you do that, the emote wheel will pop up on your screen. From there, you can use the right analog stick to select which emote you'd like to use and press the action button (X or A) on your controller to emote!
Mobile
Emoting on the mobile version of Fortnite is easy but less intuitive. After confirming that you have emotes equipped to your character, you can enter a game to show it off. In the game, look at the user display on your phone. Near the top right, you will see an icon that looks like a speech bubble with a ! in it. When you hold down your finger on that button, it will present you with the option to use your equipped emotes.
That's as simple as it gets! Each version is very simple when it comes to showing off your dances and sprays. Epic probably expected you to win a lot, so they wanted to make it easy to boast on the victory screen.
You can emote in Creative, too! Beat an obstacle in one of our Best Deathrun Maps and have more of a reason to dance!
