Genshin Impact Mualani farming guide – All Talent & Ascension materials

The fortune-loving Mualani is a five-star Hydro catalyst user who you can pull for during Genshin Impact's long-awaited Natlan update in late August. While she hasn't been released, there are a couple of things you can farm in advance to prepare for Mualani's release day.

All Mualani level-up, Talent, & Ascension materials in Genshin Impact

As Mualani has not yet been released in Genshin Impact, we based the information below on leaks shared by the community. Keep in mind that the information has not been officially verified so there may be changes upon Mualani's release in Version 5.0.

Mualani Level-up cost

Prepare the following Hero's Wit and Mora to level up Mualani.

Mualani Ascension materials & cost

You will have to shell out 420,000 Mora and the following materials to fully Ascend Mualani, which is always recommended if you want to maximize her power output.

Local Specialty & Boss material

Mualiani is releasing alongside the new nation, Natlan, in Version 5.0, so her local specialty and boss materials can't be farmed until the region is released. Based on leaked information, you'll want to be on the lookout for the Sprayfeather Gill in Natlan's landscapes. Meanwhile, her boss material is supposedly the Mark of the Binding Blessing, which can be farmed from a new boss called the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant.

You can pre-farm Mualani's gemstones. As a Hydro character, she uses the Varunada Lazurite materials dropped by all Hydro Normal and World Bosses, such as the Hydro Hypostasis, Oceanid, and the Iniquitous Baptist. Additionally, you can always convert materials using the Crafting Table to turn any of your existing Gemstones into Hydro ones.

Leakers allege that Mualani's common Ascension materials are whistles that can be farmed from sand warriors in Natlan. The Sentry's Wooden Whistle and Warrior's Metal Whistle can also be purchased from Paimon's Bargains from Version 5.0 onwards. The store resets monthly.

Mualani Talent level-up materials & cost

If you plan on committing to playing Mualani, you need to level up her Talents. It will cost you 1,652,500 Mora and the following materials to max everything out, but I suggest only leveling up her most essential Talents to save on resources.

Mualani's Talent books can be farmed from a dedicated Domain in Natlan from Version 5.0 onwards. We will update you with the farming schedule as soon as it's released.

Mualani's common Talent materials mirror her Ascension requirements, so you'll have to farm for quite a lot of Whistles. If you run out of them in your World, I suggest visiting a friend's World and asking for permission to farm.

Weekly Boss material & Crown of Insight

You can only obtain Crowns of Insight by playing through large events that occur once every major version update. On the other hand, Mualani's Weekly Boss material is the Lightless Eye of the Maelstrom, which can be farmed from the All-Devouring Narwhal in Salacia Plain. You can only farm three Weekly Bosses per week.
