Lynette is a four-star Anemo sword user whose kit is comparable with Kazuha's, making her a versatile unit that can function as both a sub-DPS and Swirl support. While she can be pulled in the limited banner whenever she's featured on rate-up, all players also have the opportunity to get her for free, just like Xiangling.

How to Unlock The Curtain Never Falls on Magic in Genshin Impact
The Curtain Never Falls on Magic is a permanent event that allows you to get Lynette for free—simply access it via the event menu to invite her to your team after reaching Adventure Rank 25. You'll also get three Lumidouce Bells and Meshing Gears, which can be used to Ascend her once.
If you're a new free-to-player, I highly recommend building Lynette as she's a very strong character. But to farm the rest of her Ascension materials, you need to reach Fontaine. You don't have to go through Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru, though—here's a shortcut you can use.
You must first complete Prologue: Act III - Song of the Dragon and Freedom. Once that's done, a Teleport Waypoint will appear in the Realm of Farakhkert, even without unlocking Sumeru. Head to the Waypoint, then glide toward the nearby Waverider Waypoint. Summon the Waverider and ride it to the Romaritime Harbor. You'll find yourself in Fontaine, where you can farm for the rest of Lynette Ascension materials.
