How to unlock and complete A Misplaced Conch World Quest in Genshin Impact – The Scattered Past questline

A Misplaced Conch is the last part of a World Questline called The Scattered Past, which takes place in the Golden Apple Archipelago. Due to being in an event-exclusive area, this World Quest can only be done from July 15, 2022, to August 24, 2022. Don't forget to complete it while the summer islands are still here, and get to know about The Fatui members scattered around the Archipelago.

How to unlock A Misplaced Conch World Quest in Genshin Impact

To unlock this World Quest, you first need to finish the entire Golden Apple Archipelago Event Questline, which ends at part six: Like Rhyme and Song, the Summer Reverie. Once that's done, you need to complete the first two parts of The Scattered Past questline, which can be done in any order:

• The Discarded Insignia
• The Misplaced Photo

Once both are done, A Misplaced Conch will automatically start.

How to complete A Misplaced Conch World Quest in Genshin Impact

Follow the quest marker to the island east of the Broken Isle and speak to the Fatui members. You'll then be asked to interact with the nearby Imaging Conch. Once that's done, speak to the Fatui again, and they will ask you to find three Misplaced Conches.

You can find two Misplaced Conches by solving the following puzzles:

• Misplaced Conch 2
• Misplaced Conch 3

Meanwhile, the last Conch can be found by heading to the area circled in the image above. You'll find an Imaging Conch—interacting with it will merit you the Quest Item called Misplaced Conch 1. Make sure to double-check your Inventory as you might have already picked it up before.

Once you have all three Misplaced Conches, head back to the location of the Fatui members and place the Conches on the tables beside the existing Imaging Conch.

You must place the Misplaced Conches in the tables that match their numbers in the image above.

• White tablecloth—Misplaced Conch 2
• Striped tablecloth—Misplaced Conch 1
• Red tablecloth—Misplaced Conch 3

Once that's done, read the dialogue with the Fatui, and the World Quest and The Scattered Past questline will complete.
