Raiden Shogun birthday, lore, & age in Genshin Impact

Raiden Shogun has been around for quite some time.

Raiden Shogun had one of the best-selling banners to ever come out in Genshin Impact. She's the most popular archon so far and one of the best characters to use in the Spiral Abyss. It's not surprising to learn that fans want to know more about this sweet-loving archon.

Raiden Shogun's birthday is on June 26, and according to lore, she has been around for thousands of years. Her true name is Raiden Ai, and she had a twin sister, Raiden Makoto, who was the original ruler of Inazuma. When Makoto died during the battle of Khaenri'ah, Ai took over her role.

Ai had already been killed and revived so Makoto could ascend to Celestia, so they share the same appearance. This is due to Makoto reviving Ai by making a puppet in her own image for her sister to inhabit. Very few even know of Ai's existence since the pair are identical.

In current day Teyvat, Raiden Shogun leaves most of the work to an automated puppet. She only recently became more involved with Inazuma due to the Traveler and Yae Miko working together to make her face reality.
