How to get Gale Flame in God of War Ragnarok

During God of War Ragnarok, Kratos will obtain Draupnir Spear. To upgrade this spear to its max level nine, you must collect a unique resource which is called the Gale Flames. There are four different Gale Flames that you can find during the game. In this guide, we will help you locate all of them.

What are the locations of the Gale Flames in God of War Ragnarok?

The First Gale Flame location in God of War Ragnarok

You can reach the location of the first Gale Flame during the 16th storyline mission called The Summoning. During The Spark of the World objective, you will have a boss encounter with Hirst and Mist. When you defeat the two Valkyries, they will drop you the first Gale Flame.

The Second Gale Flame location in God of War Ragnarok

You will be able to find the second Gale Flame in Jarnsmida Pitmines in Svartalfheim. The shortest way to get there is via Aurvangar Wetlands and then through Sverd Sands and The Applecore. You are looking for one specific gravestone of Ragnarok's Berserkers, Starolfr the Troublesome, and Bodvar The Fierce. When you defeat the spirit of the Berserkers, they will drop the second Gale Flame.

The Third Gale Flame location in God of War Ragnarok

The third Gale Flame is obtainable via Nocturnal Predator Favor, located in Vanaheim's Crater area. You will need to unlock this Favor by finishing Scent of Survival Favor. During the nighttime, find the Sigil with two flames alight in the middle of the Planes. Start the Favor by capturing the first wisp. You have to activate the remaining three Sigils by finding and capturing three wisps. They are easy to spot because they glow violet and feed on dead animals.

The Fourth Gale Flame location in God of War Ragnarok

The fourth and last Gale Flame is separated into six Gale Sparks that you must find in Lost Lindwyrms Favor. Speak to Ratatoskr, and he will ask you to capture the Gale Sparks. You can find these small creatures in the Rifts of Yggdrasil. Four of them are in Svartalfheim, and the two are in Vanaheim.
