Inventory management is an essential part of any tactical shooter and Gray Zone Warfare is no exception. But for players more used to arcade shooters like Call of Duty or Apex Legends, GZW's system might not be so obvious at first glance. This guide will show you how to be ready to fight another day.
How to manage your inventory in Gray Zone Warfare
When you die in Gray Zone Warfare (and trust me, you will die a lot), you'll respawn at your base without any items you took out onto the battlefield. I suggest you see what's stored in your Locker first before venturing out to find your corpse. Note: this menu can only be accessed while at base. Open your Inventory by hitting Tab and selecting the Character screen. Here you'll see your Locker to the right.
Next, simply drag and drop the items you wish to take with you into the slots on the left. This is a painless process but takes a little bit of time. It's worth remembering that the game won't automatically re-equip the items you lost on the battlefield. So it's essential to load up your character before you head back out into the unforgiving world.
Where to buy weapons, armor, and healing supplies in Gray Zone Warfare
Your Locker will start looking empty if you keep dying and losing your items on the battlefield. To refill your Locker, press Tab and head to the Vendors screen. Here you can buy any item you need from three different categories of vendors: Handshake for all armor, gear, and containers; Gunny for all weapons, ammunition, grenades, and attachments, and Lab Rat for all healing supplies, food, and drinks. I chose the Mithras Security System faction, so vendor names might differ based on your faction.
To buy an item, right-click on it and select Buy. The item will then go into your Trading Cart, where you can specify the amount you wish to buy before clicking on Trade to complete the transaction. Now your Locker will be replenished with new items, allowing you to equip your character with any tool of the trade.
