How to get Thalamus in Hades 2

Thalamus is used to create the Unraveling a Fateful Bond Incantation in Hades 2, which lets you explore the surface without taking any damage. This makes Thalamus an important material in the game, so here is how you can get Thalamus in Hades 2.

How to get Origin Seeds to grow Thalamus in Hades 2

Unlike most materials in Hades 2, you can not find Thalamus during your runs and have to grow them on the Soil at the Crossroads. You need the Origin Seeds for growing Thalamus, which are only found inside the Chaos Gates. The only two ways to get Origin Seeds from there are by digging them with the Silver Spade, or sometimes you might get lucky and get the Origin Seeds from Chaos himself.

How to get to the Chaos Gates in Hades 2

In either case, to get Origin Seeds you will need to go to the Chaos Gates (the trickiest part). To get there, you have to start your run and go as far as you can until you see an entry for Chaos Gates on the floor. If you find it, activate it and sacrifice some health to get inside, where you can dig the seed. Alternately, Chaos might reward you with it.

How to grow Thalamus from Origin Seeds in Hades 2

To grow Thalamus, you will need fertile soil that lets you grow plants on it, which you should already have gotten from the cauldron. Now, head over to the soil, interact with it, and select the Origin Seed from the selection.

After that, you have to wait until it grows. You can do that by going on more runs or spending time in the hot spring with other characters or any other activity at the Crossroads. Once it's ready, go harvest the Thalamus that you have grown to use in your Unraveling a Fateful Bond Incantation.

How to stop your health from depleting on the surface in Hades 2

When you go to the surface for the first time in Hades 2, you will notice that your health is slowly depleting due to a curse. The only way to fix that is by crafting the Unraveling a Fateful Bond Incantation from the cauldron at the Crossroads.

If you don't see Unraveling a Fateful Bond Incantation at the cauldron, then you have to die a few times on the surface until Moros comes and tells you about the curse, which will make the incantation appear at the cauldron. After crafting that, you can easily go to the surface without the fear of your health constantly depleting.
